Still missing...
CRAVAT: I need a cravat. Maybe I can fake it by getting some black silk at the fabric store. The cravat is a must for this costume. Maybe I can bum one off somebody. Hell, if anyone owns a cravat in this day and age, it's theater people.
BUTCHER'S KNIVES BELT: The knife belt is another issue. Clearly it's impossible to get Bill's belt of butcher's knives (a leather belt with holders for all varieties, including cleaver). Next best thing is to either bastardize a tool belt or use a regular belt and get a bunch of knives (that don't look too modern) to hang off of it. Because, seriously, Bill the Butcher would feel naked without his knives.
HUGE FUCKIN' TOP HAT: At
tomperdue's suggestion, I am going to try to get in contact with the costume company that we used for "Good" to try to get a the huge stovepipe top hat, which, aside from the belt, is easily the hardest part of the costume. And hey, if I can't find a hat, I can always just grease my hair up like in the icon here. Mmmm... greasy.
TO THE REN FAIRE! I'm considering trying for Ren Faire sometime next weekend, either Saturday or Sunday. I'll confer with
erzebetbathory to see if that's cool with her. Full costume, 400 or so years too late. I want this costume to totally kick ass. So far, so good.
