I saw Wolverine on Friday night last week and it started off as a pretty epic movie and about 30 minutes into the movie, it seemed like they ran out of money, pulled an action movie script out of a dusty old warehouse, used SFX from the late nineties and went to work making one of the most sorry excuses for a modern summer movie ever.
I was pretty bummed out when Ryan Reynolds/Wade Wilson/Deadpool was on screen for a combined time of about 20 minutes. Not only that but Gambit was dragged in and thrown out like a bad extra they used for when they had no other characters available to move the plot.
Not even Hugh Jackman's rippling abdomen and extreme sexy hairiness could save this movie. And yes, the opening sequence of the movie was the only good part (IMO). How the heck did Liev Schreiber get cast in this train wreck? Man, it seems like any random guy could have played his part. Sure, not as sexily, but they misused his talent. :/
This youtube series has inspired me to read more Deadpool. He's probably what I'd be like if I ended up as a superhero.
P.S. FREAKAZOID. My childhood on Saturday mornings!
