I don't know, 'The Wesley' tends to be hyper competent and a writers' pet. Winick may have used him a lot, but other writers also picked him up and used him and, judging by the way he was used, not with a great deal of affection for the character. He's closer to 'The Scrappy' or 'The Poochie,' imho. All things considered though, comic writers often have a habit of fixating on a specific character for a great deal longer than they probably should, it's not something limited to Jason. Also, I don't think Jason is hated quite enough to reach Wesley status, he does have a very dedicated (and fairly loud, considering its size) fanbase.

Damian may be a Wesley though...
