Misc. Thoughts
Jan. 25th, 2005 12:39 am1.) Anybody remember Karataka? You know, that old Apple II/Commodore-64 game? Man, I haven't thought about that game in ten years. I can't find any information for it anywhere on google or anything. Man, I so wanna try my hand at that game today. It used to kick my ass so hard. KARATAKA! KARATAKA! Man oh man, along with the insanely difficult Ghostbusters game, I spent many a childhood hour in front of an Apple II green screen. How I miss it so.
2.)Hey, sweet, I'm on the Washington college Drama website's front page! Huzzah! Fame is mine! Screw finishing my novel (only 30 or so more pages to go...)
3.) The score for William Friedkind's 1985 film TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. was composed by Wang Chung. Consider that. An entire film score. By Wang Chung. Well I have seen this movie, my friends. And let me tell you, this soundtrack is one of the greatest, most magnificent works of music ever. I didn't know you could cram that much synthesizer in a movie. But they did! It's pure 80's gold!
4.) My mother was very late in sending in the tuition payment. They still haven't recieved the check, even though it was mailed in last Thursday. So not only am I currently not an officially registered student, but if they don't recieve it by Wednesday my scholarship is going to be revoked. Geeeehhh!
5.) Watching the Tonight Show's retrospective, and holy shit has Drew Carey let himself go! He also grew out his hair and hasn't shaven. He looks like he ate Michael Moore who had eaten Drew Carey!
6.) To reiterate- Fantastic Four movie: It looks so bad, I can only curse Richards. Batman Begins: the costume looks stupid, but the film looks astounding so I can live with that quite happily. Sin City... fuuuuck yeah!
7.) Cherry Orchard is going well so far. With this cast and this set and these costumes, it's gonna be one hell of a pretty show to listen to and watch. Now if only we could make the story enjoyable, we'd be in business!
