So guys, I'm pondering when would be best to have a graduation party. I hesistated to plan this here because until I passed my French final I wasn't even certain there WAS going to be a graduation. But my teacher just informed me that even if I failed the exam completely I'd still only get a D at the worst, so hell yeah! I just need to finish my thesis tonight and I'll be in like Flint! So what about a party? I mean, considering no one went to my high school graduation party (*sniff*... no one loves Heffie! Of course, that was just before Twelfth Night, before I actually was Heffie and not "hey, that kid Alan stabbed")?

I've got a couple options to run by people. One would be to have the party on the Saturday just before graduation, the 21st. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, that's the opening weekend of Mac. I don't suppose that would work after all, but for the sake of things, who would be up for that? Here's the thing: my brother and his fiancee Pheobe will be in, and that night there'll be a party for them to celebrate their engagement, so it would be kind of a dual-purpose party. Huh, now that I write all that out it doesn't really seem like a stellar idea.

Option #2: Party on Sunday night after Graduation itself, that being the 22nd. Ma fears that it being a Sunday, people will be hesistant to hang out much. Which brings us to Option #3: the weekend AFTER Memorial Day weekend, during which I shall hopefully be with several other Rudes in the Big Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy. Once again, I'm wondering about Rudes cast parties. I'll have to recheck the dates of the show to make sure we ain't conflicting. Unless of course I host my house for a cast party that can double as my graduation party, if people are so willing to share, but I wouldn't want to intrude.

God! Why is it so hard to get us all together to get very drunk? Whyyyy?!

Which Mac?

Opening day of Mac is june 3rd, so the 21st should be fine. Though I was planning on doing a paintball thing that weekend, but that shouldnt' matter (you are invited, though).

Sundays are indeed not ideal for these things. It could be a mostly-day party, though. Maybe get a bushel or two of crabs and enjoy the it's-not-quite-sweltering-yet weather.

The 3rd option *is* opening day, though.

The cast party at my place on the 11th could double as a heffie-grad party, if you were willing to share it. Other than that, this is apparently a very hectic time. We still want to celebrate your graduation, though..

Me want to celebrate but me can't do the 21st cause me have a paid acting gig in VA that night. The 22nd would be A-OK with me, especially if it's not too late of a thing, but either way I'd try to be there then. Many other nights are mostly free as well, but I think opening weekend of Maccy-B may be extremely crazy. [livejournal.com profile] myoffenceisrank's wedding party is June 4 and a bunch of us were considering the VA wine festival June 5th (which you should come with us to!!!). Wow, crazy busy, but let's party anyway!!!!
