Is it a lump, or is that supposed to be there? Am I peeing too frequently, or do I just drink too much water? Is that supposed to be aching dully a little bit, or am I just so paranoid that I'm imagining it? Am I feeling the occasional cramp there because I wear my pants too tightly, or is there another reason? Why do I go through occasional periods of burning there if it's not an infection, as the free college lab results said it wasn't? How long have I ignored or not even thought twice about all these things, and am I going to seriously reget it?

I don't know, because since I turned 22 it seems I don't have health insurance. Gordon and Ma just got the GEHA form and are gonna try to get it processed as soon as possible. And then get me to a doctor. I hope to God they can get it soon, because we can't afford to pay out of pocket. We're not only poor, but she was forced to buy a new car, and now we're even further in debt.

Little concerned here. As always, the waiting is the hardest part. It doesn't help that a friend of mine is dealing with a serious bout of cancer (is that even the correct way to say it? Aw, you know what I mean), so now it's put mortality and fear in my mind. Nor did that episode of Robot Chicken where Optimus Prime got prostate cancer. Leave it to me to get paranoid from Robot Chicken.

Hey, if this does turn out to be serious, look at the bright side. I won't be angsting about women anymore.

You know you're fine. But it's weird going without the insurance - I was off of my parents' for almost 6 months before my current plan took effect. It messes with your mind and every twinge or cough suddenly spells out your death from suicide because you just couldn't take the medical bills anymore.

But seriously, you're fine.

Oh, man...I hope it's nothing, John. If it helps, it's usually my experience that the more you worry about something, the less of a big deal it winds up being in the end. Also, even if you have cancer...at least it's not Clancer! All the same, I'll keep you in my prayers, assuming I'm not on "the outs" with the Big Guy.

i'm sure you're fine, hef.

i've known several guys around your age who went through the same type of fear. i think it's just becoming actuely aware of your anatomy and how it works. most of the time these things just wind up being small glitches and have more to do with the fact that you pulled something while exercising than any serious concern.

we females go through similiar worries. plumbing, whether indoor or outdoor, is just complex, period and has all kinds of querks.

Babe, I am sure you're fine. I get the paranoia every now and then and the doctor always tells me I just have the flu or something. Until you see a doc, just rest a lot and try to eat well, that way if you are sick in anyway, you won't stress yourself further...but really, I'm sure it's just a case of awareness and worry.

::huggles:: Hope everything turns out alright. I just went through the same bit of panic over that bump on my leg and it turned out to be nothing life threatening, so let's hope it's the same for you.

I had no health insurance for about 5-6 years. Nuttin' happened.

I also haven't seen a doctor since my physical for my second Philmont trip, which would have been... (counts)... 15 years ago.
