Katya just text-messaged me (what is with the kids these days and their texting! It costs an assload, as I learned the hard way with Tammy) to ask how I've been. Just out of the blue like that. That's a good sign. I will definitely have to take her out to dinner as soon as possible.

That's right, ladies. So if you've ever harbored feelings for me, now's the time to speak up before I'm snatched away. Otherwise, you can just wait until my heart's been broken again.

In other news, it's so refreshing to hear the opening strains of a song actually be "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop and NOT a shitty song by Jet. Fucking rip-off band aren't fit to lick the peanut butter off of Iggy's balls. Not even AC/DC's, biggest balls of them all as they are.

Oh! And in other other news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FORMER DADDY AND FUTURE KEMP, CALVIN!!!

Thankee so much! (and glad you're keeping me in mind for the Kemp role, at least nominally)

... but... I like Jet. *whimper*

I never claimed to have good taste in music though. I just like what I like. I also couldn't pick an iggy pop song out of a line up. I don't really go out of my way to listen to any music that isn't played on my favorite radio stations or the currrent tape at my current place of employment. SO SUE ME !!!

Welp, better late than never! Dave could fill you in with better suggestions for Iggy songs. Me, I say start with "Lust for Life" which you may remember as the song during the beginning of Trainspotting, and "Dirt," a song which really sums up my feelings over the last few months. Except for the "And I don't care" part.

Can't say I have much exposure to Iggy myself, but I can appreciate "Lust for Life". I do have the marvelously dark and noisy Crow:City of Angels soundtrack, featuring a live Iggy recording of "I Wanna Be Your Dog". The only discernable instruments are a pounding electric guitar and what sounds like a miter saw. It's catchy. Hey, maybe Larry used to tour with Iggy Pop. Larry Stahl could TOTALLY be a Stooge. Think about it.
