Huh. So apparently trying to do a whole comic book DIY style is kind of a lotta work.

(the whole process for me includes measuring our boundaries in the bristol board, doing the layout of the panels and the art in non-photo blue pencil, working in the fine details and lettering with pencil, then inking the whole motherfucker. It takes a couple days just to get one page done)

Drawing and inking can be a very theraputic process, but it's a bit like therapy russian roulette. When it's finished and the result is great, it's incredibly rewarding. On the other hand, after all that effort the end result is a substandard piece of crap or a clusterfuck or something, it can be incredibly depressing. As was the case last night, thus reminding me why I gave up drawing all those years ago. Too many frustrations, not enough rewards.

And that's only page one. I'll keep working at it and we'll see how it looks over the next few pages. I haven't even introduced our heroes yet, for god's sake. If I can pull them off at least, I shall consider it a rousing success.
