There's a new NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD remake coming out.
Now, on one hand, none of the Dead remakes are fit to lick the symbolic balls of the original Romero movies. Not even Romero's own remake. Secondly, this one looks suspiciously like it's trying to model itself after something like the TEXAS CHAINSAW remake, which loyal followers of my opinions will know that I conisder that to be one of my least favorite movies ever. And this new remake is in 3D. Can anyone name a good movie that was filmed for 3D? Anyone?
On the other hand, I will be fascinated to see what they can say with this self-proclaimed "re-imagining." It could provide some helpful ideas of what to do and what not to do come Fall when I propose the NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD stage play for Rude Mechanicals Second Stage. The more I think about it, the more this play simply has to happen.
