I may be away from the internet for the next couple of days, though, be warned. My brother's gonna take me out camping. Yes, yes, revel in the image of John Hefner "roughing it" with manly men. I'm too jet-lagged to give a shit right now.
In other news, I called my Dad up to tell him I arrived safely, and he sounded really different. I didn't recognize him at first. He was actually yelling but not realizing it, and I thought, "well he's drunk, but I didn't think he would be since I didn't get him any tonic... water..." Oh dear. Oh dear, it hit me with some evil amusement. He's been drinking gin straight. He's never done that, but now he's just that desperate. It's the only explanation for the wildly different tone. He's not simmering with manipluative venom, he's... angry. Loud. He's... Gin Drunk. It's utterly amazing. It's a whole different kind of drunk daddy for me, one I've never seen before. And all I can do is laugh for some reason.
