Andy Serkis is the fucking man. Just in case anyone was wondering.

If I can't get Howard Sherman to reprise his legendary role as Bub the Zombie for when the movie of BUB AND JOHNNY GO is ready to be made, I have a couple alternatives. Ron Perleman is definitely one. But after seeing KING KONG, oh man, I could so see Andy Serkis in the role. Bub needs to be performed with body language and facial expressions, even when he finally does begin to remember speech.

Peter Lawford was the bitch of the Rat Pack, and man, I feel sorry for the stupid schmuck.

The Hefner Monologue performance was an interesting experience. It went well, but it reminded me that I seriously need to memorize this stuff and actually rehearse it standing up, as opposed to sitting at Bennigans as I usually am when I tell the story.

THE REF is one of those awesome little gems I love to catch on TV when it's on. Denis Leary is awesome as a stand-up, but he's completely overwhelmed in this, his own vehicle, by the brilliance of Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis. Kevin's delivery of "It's 18th Century French Huguenot" alone is worth watching the whole film.

I'm listening to Sammy Davis Jr. sing, "What Kind of Fool Am I?" It's a very good question, Smokey. A very good question indeed.

Indeed, shed a tear for Peter Lawford. Pretty bad when you're Joey Bishop's bitch. Ouch.
