My review of SLITHER
Mar. 31st, 2006 01:04 amTake ALIEN, George Romero's zombie movies, both versions of THE BLOB, Cronenberg's THE FLY and THE BROOD, Carpenter's THE THING, Brian Yuzna's SOCIETY, and Fred Dekker's NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, throw 'em into a big geek blender, and what's the result?

Some of the most glorious, sticky, hilarious fun you'll have at the theatre. Awesome. Go see it. I dare say it deserves your ticket money far, far more than ICE AGE 2 or BASIC INSTINCT 2. At the very least, do it for Nathan!
Did I mention fun? That's the operative word here. Fun. But still, ew.

Date: 2006-03-31 06:51 am (UTC)Yeah, but the writer also did Scooby Doo 1 and 2. Slither's awesome, don't get me wrong, but still. Scooby fucking Doo 1 and 2.

Date: 2006-04-02 05:03 am (UTC)Just watched most recent Smallville (well, am watching it now) and had a few questions.
1) Has Brainiac always had all of superman's powers?
2) Was Brainiac associated with Zod in the comics too?

Date: 2006-04-02 08:02 pm (UTC)To answer your questions, no, Brainiac never had all of Superman's powers. That said, as a sentient computer who has either been a computer in an organic body or a robot, he has had invulnerability, lazer vision, super strength, flight, of whatever the hell else he wanted to upgrade into his program.
Brainiac has never been associated with Zod in the comics or the animated series (which redid his origin so that he was Jor-El's supercomputer on krypton).
Those answer your questions at all? I am very peeved because I haven't seen a single bloody one of the Brainiac episodes and I wanna!
