Still can't find the number for the tutor. Shit. I'll have to drive to Bethesda personally to see if he's even still there.

Studying for math on the GREs is proving slow, hard work as I have to refresh myself on even basic concepts that I haven't even thought about in eight years. I am supposed to be getting in touch with the head of the Drama department at Catholic University any minute now. Maybe in the midst of our conversation he can alleviate my fears regarding doing well on the math portion.

Although, I'm also having more difficulty on the reading comprehension sections than I thought. The reading comprehension questions are so specific to standardized tests, not anything we'd actually study at schools. How I further hate standardized tests.

I got a role in a one-act play for Silver Spring Stage's One-Act Festival. I really, *really* didn't want to try out, telling myself that I'm gonna be fucking busy enough this month and need to focus on my studies... but I forced myself to because I really need to get myself out of this funk I've been in ever since the DAVID DANCE debacle. I can't get discouraged, and boy, I hate to admit it but I really have been discouraged.

So it's for my own damn good. Damn it. I just hope the play itself is good. Maybe I'm just cranky because I haven't had my tea yet.

I'm becoming a tea junkie now. I just followed Douglas Adams' guidelines to how to make tea the proper way, and now I've been drinking english breakfast tea every morning with milk and two lumps, then a cup of green tea with spiced lime honey in the afternoons.

I honestly feel better when I live caffeine free. But with life being what it is, it's so easy to fall off the wagon again.

If you can't find your tutor and need help studying for the math GRE, I could probably help you. I did really well on it and am generally good at math. Let me know!

I start every day with no less than two cups of strong black tea, made the proper English way - warming the teacup/pot with boiling water first, etc etc etc. I've been doing that since college. Muah ha ha! A tea recruit!

The good news: GRE math is waaaaaaay easier than SAT math was. Seriously. I barely cracked a review book, and I got a 750 on mine. Forty points better than the best score I could manage on my math SATs, and those I studied for really intently. You'll do great, don't sweat it.

Well, the good news is, you can get black tea decaf. The bad news is, you can't get green tea decaf so far as I know, and the green is waaaaay more caffeinated than the black.

But a second wave of good news is that red tea - rooibos tea - is naturally caffeine-free. And also that there are many yummy tisanes out there. Also chamomile doesn't have caffeine, as far as I know, but I might just be buying the decaf on automatic.

But for god's sake, stay away from yerba mate.

I think I found his company's number, maybe possibly, so I'll give 'em a try tomorrow and see. If that doesn't pan out, then yes, I would very much like to take you up on your offer, thank you very much! I shall let you know here, if that's coo? Unless you have a new e-mail?

Well, that is encouraging, but I still strongly need refreshing nonetheless. It took me a half hour just to remember prime frickin' numbers. Oy. Still, it's very good to know.

Ever since my english-style upbringing, I've always, *always* had my tea with milk and two lumps of sugar. Maybe three. I get funny looks from my fellow yanks, but screw them, they don't know that you have to warm the cup first and apply boiling water! So nyah!

Green tea is actually far less caffeinated than black tea. And you can get either of them in decaf. (Both of which are far less than coffee, I might add.)

Wow, good thing I'm a weirdo who doesn't like the taste of coffee, eh? Can you imagine me, wired on a daily dose of coffee like normal folks?
