HOLY. CRAP. Pilot episode for THE AMAZING SCREW-ON HEAD on Scifi.com.

Fans of Mike Mingola, Tim Burton, Edward Gorey, Venture Bros, and The Tick take note and watch this. Now. Please. Seriously.

From aintitcool.com: "Bryan Fuller created and wrote the pilots for “Dead Like Me” and “Wonderfalls.” He’s not just a great TV writer, he’s one of the greatest writers in any medium on this planet, and one of the funniest. Bryan Fuller rules and rocks.

So what would happen if Fuller teamed with another of the funniest bastards on the planet, namely genius stand-up comedian Patton Oswalt? Would they together create the funniest TV show ever? Something perhaps deadly? Like the “funniest joke in the world” depicted on “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”? Speculate no longer!!

Fuller and Oswalt collaborated to bring a Mike Mignola (he of “Hellboy” fame) comic book titled “The Amazing Screw-On Head” to the little screen. Not only is it hilarious (way way WAY more hilarious than the “Hellboy” movie), it looks exactly like a living, breathing Mike Mignola comic book.

I saw it many moons ago and seriously laughed my hinder off. So did everyone else in the room. It really is better than almost everything else ever.

Watch it!! Watch it now!! Then vote online to ensure that SciFi order a whole series of “Amazing Screw-On Head” episodes. (Otherwise, SciFi might just squander what remains of its tiny budget on a third “Stargate” series.)

Paul Giamatti plays the title character. He was in that funny wine movie.

Seek out “The Amazing Screw-On Head” pilot here. It’s wonderful. (If your computer is old and/or cranky but you can still afford cable, the pilot will air on the SciFi cable channel July 27.)

If you don’t think “Amazing Screw-On Head” is at least the second-best thing SciFi has ever aired, then you, sir, are not cool. Not cool at all!! Contact AICN in the morning about the immediate revocation of your credentials of cool!!

Here’s where to vote to kill or keep the show. (Hint: you desperately crave the keeping.)"

completely random question, but your post reminded me of it. Whatever happened to that reality show produced by Stan Lee? Is it still on? I don't watch scifi channel as much as I should unfortunately so I'm behind on stuff like this

I believe it starts this week or something. I honestly don't give a crap... unless they're actually gonna go out and take down evil, full-on vigilante style, I ain't interested.

But watch the Amazing Screw-On Head! Seriously! Do!!! And vote for it!!!

ah thanks, not sure if I'll actually watch it, the post just piqued my curiosity. On the one hand it's Stan Lee, on the other he was also responsible for Stripperella and the heros seem kinda lame, meh I might give it a shot, or I'll just forget about it one of the two.

Sorry, I was away and then forgot to answer when I got back.

The position's been filled, but it's nothing to do with your resume. They hired someone from within our company who'd been laid off of another contract. I promise I would have told you sooner, but I assumed Eric had contacted you, since it happened pretty soon after he got your info.

Yeah, I assumed as much, I just wanted to know. He never sent me anything. Not even a confirmation that he recieved it, that I got from you.

Thankee anyhoo.
