CLERKS 2 is the movie to see this weekend. In case anyone was thinking about going out. Not only do I honestly think it might pound for pound be Kevin Smith's best movie, but it also caused Joel Siegel to have a hissy fit, which resulted in Smith confronting Siegel on Opie and Anthony. Hi-larity.

However, while I very much plan to see it again and actually support it with my own cash, the movie I wanna see first is the liklier hit, MONSTER HOUSE. From what I understand, it's totally in the GOONIES/STAND BY ME mold, so I'm on that like a hobo on a ham sammitch.

Also, I am ashamed to admit that I just might end up at some point seeing MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND, based on chud.com's review which gave it a 7.3 out of 10, acknowledging the flaws while adding, "But coming from a nerd perspective, I found that what set My Super Ex-Girlfriend apart was how well it got the conventions and clichés of superhero comics. From G-Girl’s Wasp-like constant costume changes to tossing cars into near Earth orbit, the film is filled with the warm glow of Silver Age comics."

So fuck me, I'm interested now. Plus, Eddie Izzard. Even if it is a wasted Eddie Izzard. And Anna Faris, the single reason to watch any of the SCARY MOVIE franchise (Leslie Neilsen hasn't been sexy since SPY HARD).

Speaking of which, has anyone at all acknowledged that the latest Wayans Brothers abortion LITTLE MAN is a complete and total rip-off of a Bugs Bunny cartoon? Like, right down to the "baby" shaving in the mirror? Anyone?

Look, I will forever love IN LIVING COLOR, but ever since they discovered they could make a lot more money by selling out and doing broad low-brown Sandlerian comedies, the Wayans aren't fit to sniff Bugs Bunny's farts.

Also, Icon Post. I'm still not pleased with the lettering, but I'm working on it.

Yeah. Looks like they ripped the old WB cartoon and put the typical Wayne's Brths tack on it. What's next, "What's Opera, Doc?" with hip hoppers? (Though there was a very segement on Robot Chicken the other night with Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny is a rap-off).

A) Yes, several reviewers have brought up the "homage" (ha) to Baby Finster. It's currently at a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I am wondering if these are the same people that still approve of Bush's presidency.

2) The phrase "aren't fit to sniff Bugs Bunny's farts" made me LOL.

III) I'm trying to think of a good icon for Jessica Lange, something like "bitches be crazy"...if I could only find the correlation to the Simpsons. There HAS to be one. More later...
