thehefner: (Game over man! Game OVER!)

There's a commercial for a local gaming store called "Other Realms" that runs on [adult swim] here. The announcer goes on to list all the things they carry, like miniatures, rulebooks, and manga (which he pronounces as "mun-gah!"), but the real kicker is the very end, where a there's this kid, between 10-12, a soft, pale kid with glasses. He stands up from his gaming table and proclaims, "I love it here."

I know it's wrong of me. But I am just filled with an overwhelming desire to take that kid's lunch money.

On the acting front, the Silver Spring One-Acts open. I'm honestly not certain how positive I feel about this scene. Ehh, I'm now kinda hoping I do get that part in DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS, because that could well finally prove the real acting redemption I've been looking for. This one-act is just fun, but it's been a stressful experience, and lord knows what the final thing's gonna look like.

Still, everyone come to the show because [livejournal.com profile] tyhallmark is awesome.

Which is the last one you mean? Year of the Rooster? I was talking with one of the guys from it, he's really cool, but damn it if I don't know what the hell that play is about!

I got a 9:30 slot for Monday. They're totally booked then, so if you don't already have an appointment for then, I dunno if you will! I only got in because someone else cancelled. But I wish you could be there for the moral support!

nah, i called right away and got an 11:30 on Saturday. I did this last Sunday so I think I was early out of the gate ... figures, me and my overeager self.

I haven't seen Year of the Rooster in its entirety, I'm talking about DayDream. That one has been testy all week. So much special stuff for really not a lot of substance.

I'm gonna watch Rooster tonight from behind the seats, I'll let you know what I think. See you at 6:30 still, eh?

Yeah, Daydream is also troublesome... mainly just for being, as I understand it, an idea without a story.

Indeed, thanks for reminding me! I will be there!
