IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button

The difference here... is that mine is going to be the ALL OINGO BOINGO VERSION (with commentary and corrections where necessary). Which, I know, means that even less people will care about me doing a meme than usual, so this is dedicated to the... two or three of you out there.


Opening Credits:

-- It's the coincidences like that which make these memes so fun. Although "Just Another Day" works better. Unless, of course, it truly *is* 1984.

-- Wow. I would love to see what kind of fight would be set to this song.

-- Works, totally. But give me "Better Luck Next Time" any day.

Life's Ok:

-- I suppose it works. Still, I think "No One Lives Forever" would be more apt, complete with dancing Ub Iwerk skeletons.

-- A great song, no doubt... but I would have personally chosen "Not My Slave." That might well the purest musical example of what true love would be for John Hefner.

-- Some of you might also, and better, know this songs as the DILBERT theme. Yes, I think I could accept that for my wedding. I would also have accepted "Violent Love."

Birth of Child:
"Controller"
-- Perfect for the little Tasmanian Devils I would likely spawn.

Final Battle:
"Mary"
-- Hm, I would have gone with the first song off the same album, "Insanity"

Death scene:
"Return of the Dead Man"
-- Heh heh.

Funeral Song:
"Out of Control"
-- Lovely. The closest thing to an Oingo Boingo lullaby for my funeral? That'll do. (But then, I'd ideally want my funeral to be a wild affair, so "Dead Man's Party" and "No One Lives Forever" will both simply HAVE to be done)

End Credits:
"I'm So Bad"
-- Not to steal from FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH, but I can't think of anything better than "Goodbye Goodbye." In fact, if I could make that song *mine* rather than belonging to that bloody film, all the better!

Hey, if I know I'm going to die, I want to be at my own funeral to party along with everyone else. Sure, there'll be another wake after I'm gone, but damn it, what good is having all of your friends together, saying wonderful things about you, if you're not there to appreciate it? There'll be booze and burritos and nachos and karaokee and Oingo Boingo music galore!

Mom thinks that I should throw one now, but I fear throwing my own funeral would be too narcissistic and self-serving. "Hey everyone, tell me how much you love me!"

Now, if some of my friends were to think up that idea on their own, I certainly wouldn't be able to stop them...
