Trilogy Tuesday can SUCK IT

thehefnerSo this Saturday evening or sometime at any point Sunday (as I just discovered that I have the day off!), I'm wanna find a movie theatre where I'll be able to see GRINDHOUSE and HOT FUZZ. I predict these will be the 6 greatest hours I shall likely ever spend in a theatre.
I actually have a handful of free passes to GRINDHOUSE, supposedly good for any theatre showing it. Yes, my comic store receeved a stack of "Movie Cash" flyers, good for up to a $12.00 ticket. I have to wonder if this is part of Harvey Weinstein's backwards freaking-out response to the movie utterly bombing: "People didn't come see this movie! I know, we'll give out free passes! Then people will come!" "But how will we make a prof--" "Yes, free passes!"
Maybe he just loves the movie so much he wants people to see it. That's probably not the case, as that's obviously a shit business decision, but lord knows that's what I'd do. In fact, if anyone wants to tag along, I'll grab a couple more of the free tickets. But I'm not gonna use them. No, I absolutely love and believe in this movie enough that I am fully willing to shell out the nine bucks to support it. If the theatre were more like this, I'd go every weekend.
Idiotic frelling American moviegoers, loving their NORBIT and WILD HOGS (and even 300, which was fun and had comic book cred, but was totally empty... the first half of GRINDHOUSE blows everything 300 did out of the water).
I'd opt for Sunday afternoon/evening, but I can race from work Saturday at 6ish to get where I need to. Also, I need to smuggle in a thermos of beer or something. This venture requires beer. Beer and Buncha Crunch.
But I just can't do this alone. I need to share the geek vibes with you, my geek peeps.
EDIT: it looks like our best choices are Georgetown, Silver Spring, and Rockville. What think you?
