Jude Law's teaming with Michael Caine to do a remake of Sleuth, with Caine playing the Olivier role and Law played the Caine role (head... hurts...). The original movie is one of my all-time favorites as both a movie and a play, but wow, I'm damn intrigued.
In related news, Jude Law's gonna be taking on another iconic Michael Caine role in a remake of Alfie. Has anyone here seen that classic? I honestly don't think a modern remake is going to have the guts to include the original ending, which is one of the most devestating ends to any film I've seen. The movie shouldn't be remade at all, but if anyone could play Alfie, it's Gigolo Joe himself.
