SPIDER-MAN 3 REVIEW
May. 5th, 2007 01:41 amNo, wait, in fairness, there are three things above all that stand out as things I really, genuinely liked/loved in this movie.
1.) The Sandman's silent "rebirth" after becoming the Sandman. That was really sad and moving.
2.) The newspaper in J. Jonah Jameson's office that read "DOC OCK ALIVE?" or something like that. I FUCKING KNEW IT. His arms wouldn't have let Otto die like that, no way! He's easily the single best character in the entire trilogy, no way in hell he was gonna go down like that, heroically or not!
3.) Bruce. Always, always Bruce.

And J.J., as always, rules.

BZZT. Hee.
3. He just rocks. It's what he does.

Date: 2007-05-05 11:12 pm (UTC)To cap it all off, she recently said in Entertainment Weekly, "Movie audiences aren't stupid. They know that without me, Toby, or Sam involved in a SPIDER-MAN movie, the movie will flop." Seriously. I so want to smack her for that kind of wrong-headed arrogance.
And finally, need I remind you of this?

Date: 2007-05-07 11:07 pm (UTC)Yep. She's a major stoner. Has admitted it several times recently, even. That could be the source of her believing that without her, Tobey, and Sam, the next SM movie will flop. The first time I read that quote, all I could think of was, "One of these things is not like the other..." No Sam? A big problem. No Tobey? Big problem. No Kirsten? Hey, is Bryce Dallas Howard busy...?
