I absolutely LOVED Penny. Not just because she's a mousy redhead, but because she represents the unconditional hope and optimism that I identify with more than either our hero (Dr. Horrible) or the villian (Capt. Hammer).
We need more Pennys. I really wish we did have more around, we could save the world.
And, yes, I have watched Venture bros. and... I feel more satisfied having purchased the DH episodes from iTunes than I would have spending more late nights watching Cartoon Network [adult swim] instead of Animal Planet or Food Network. It hasn't satisfied me yet, and I get bored with VB; whereas I completely grok Dr. Horrible on all it's levels from the music/acting/story, to the low-budget, to the experimental distribution.
