Aye, quite right, and it's an apt comparison of theatre, especially for us Shakespeare lovers; most of us have at least one idealized version of a play that no other productions will ever live up to. It's clear that WATCHMEN won't be the book, but there's hope that it might actually be worthwhile and capture the spirit in part or even whole. Which is more than can be said for Frank Miller's SPIRIT.
