I'm not too well versed in Deadpool myself, but I think the general consensus is his entire solo series from the 90's, written by Joe Kelly. I very much recommend the content of the two DEADPOOL CLASSICS trades (vol. 2 particularly, that's all Kelly), but the $30 is such a rip.
So unless you're willing to spend that, I'd recommend just breezing through these posts to give yourself a fun and wonderful Deadpool sampler platter!
