Loyal henchgirl, bitemetechie, is starting to get seriously nervous about Indianapolis Fringe. For one thing, the folks here are even nicer than Canadians. A guy visiting from Winnipeg was rather unsettled by this fact. Furthermore, the show is going suspiciously excellently. Buzz and interest in my show was strong from the start. Houses were well-filled, audience response has been stronger and more positive than any Fringe I've ever seen anywhere, and now I have not one but two rave reviews, the second one being perhaps the most glowing review I've ever gotten:

Seriously, though, I don't wanna jinx anything, but so far, Indy Fringe has been amazing. I can only hope that the rest of this week goes as strongly as the past weekend. In the meantime, sorry if I'm not being too responsive to your LJs, folks! I kinda hafta skim, as internet access has been limited.

Once I do get back, though--and once I've seen it a second time--I'm definitely gonna need to post an analysis of INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. Wow. Definitely a film that requires a couple hours of discussion and dissection. If you haven't seen it yet (and if you haven't, I imagine you probably have no interest in doing so, but nonetheless, I feel compelled to try and make this clear), you should know that it's almost certainly not the film you might expect it to be. But we'll get into all that later, after I've hopefully made it through this home stretch of my tour!

I saw Inglourious Basterds last night. I'm kind of squeamish about some forms of violence (never did get around to actually looking at the "eyeball scene" in Kill Bill vol. 2), and I expected to be covering my eyes a lot more than I ended up doing. Looking forward to reading your throughts on it.
