I want this music and camera work to accompany me whenever I enter a room. Or whenever I make a sandwich. Or really, for anything.

Seriously, I have to just wonder at the production values at play here. They blew their entire year's budget on this promo, didn't they? Even if this meant that they had to use a soundstage made out of cardboard gin boxes, it was clearly a price well worth the paying.

Man, that is far too rocking for Milwaukee... Toledo maybe.. but not Milwaukee. Did you see their other promos? Same style. Someone wanted to get into Hollywood filmmaking or corporate training videos.

Gotta love the stutter zoom for effect. Da da da dah!!!

they sure didn't blow the budget on that female desk anchor's blouse, that's for certain.

That WAS a cool spot!

A whole minute for a promo? Wow, people did have long attention spans back then... *wanders off to google something*

That was beautiful. 8D

Reminds me of some of the promos, here, for the KTLA morning news; the clips would portray a solid, professional news team, all very srs bsns. Of course, anyone watching the show would soon realize that some of the anchors didn't wear pants behind the desk, were nomming sammiches when they weren't on camera, and could get off-topic by just about anything -- one of the other anchormen's hair, included.

Having never seen the news program that your posted clip is portraying, I've got to wonder...

It'd be really funny if they weren't even in a capitol, and had to spend more funds to go to another city for that shot. Well, wait, Milwaukee? Unless that's a county courthouse or something, they might've done just that!

By the way, I'm kingrockwell from s_d (the Bat-Karamazov guy, actually). Thought you were an interesting enough gent to follow.

Heya and thankya, King/Jack! Same goes for me, so I've friended you back! Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't know it!

You're in Savannah? I have an old buddy at SCAD. I definitely need to visit there sometime. I've only been once, but just for a few hours.

Just King, really. I dunno what I was on about when I chose my LJ handle, 15 was a funny age.

But yeah, I'm downtown, right in the thick of it. Which basically amounts to me working at the grocery store all the students shop at (couldn't ever afford being one of them myself). It's really a beautiful city if you ever get a chance to spend more time here.
