Hey! Who wants to see CYRANO this Friday at the Shakespeare Theater?!

tyhallmark and I are going to go see it Friday evening, and anyone who'd like to come along are invited! I'm especially looking at Cyrano enthusiast tazira and Rageneau fan jscbimp. It should prove to be a hell of a show, here's hoping.

it's 24 for the cheap seats. their website says restricted views but that varies from performance to performance. i am going to call today to find out. BTW, I am on another listserv for DC theatre and someone posted this morning that Cyrano was awesome. So definitely try to come if you can!

a friend of mine works at the Shakespeare theatre, and i checked on a hookup for you guys..

he said: Just let me know and I can get them CSR (Complimentary Standing room). It means that they get standing room for free and if there's anything open, they'll be seated. The best way to do that is to go on a weeknight and make sure that one gets there an hour beforehand to get in line. It works well except for the last week of the show.

i dont know if this helps you guys or not.. but i tried. bear in mind this will be harder to do on a friday, but he'll see what he can do.

Hm--So I'm assuming one of you guys is getting tickets together, yes? If that is the case, go ahead and get one for me (don't worry about how much it is, I was just curious). I don't really want to go if I'd be sitting alone. :)

well.. i'm not entirely sure how this works.. the seats he can get are standing room, with seating if it comes available. you guys may not want to bother with that, if you want guaranteed seats.

you guys talk and figure out if thats what you all want to do. let me know ASAP either way.

Figured I'd give your friends some wiggle room. This e-mail
address is my work one. If you or they e-mail me before 4:00 on
thursday I can still set them up for CSR. That way you have a
little extra time for them to get in touch with you if they're
still interested in seeing Cyrano on Friday.

As long as they get there an hour before the show begins, it is
indeed LIKELY they'll be seated and seated together. It's
possible they won't, but we usually have a decent no-show rate
early in the run (since the show's over in August).
