thehefnerI really didn't want to be in Fakespeare this year. Sept. 10th and 11th they're scheduled to perform a Hamlet parody in Philly for the well-known Fringe festival. They messed up and cast me as Claudius, and when I said I couldn't do it they understood and said it was ok, they'd find someone else. Well guess what? 5 actors later, they still have no Claudius. I'd be a fool to agree to this, of course, and I stood my ground.
Then they bribed me. If I did this, they'd find me at least a sound designer for "Vigil." As yet, I still need a sound, set, and lighting designer for this play, and after the debacle that was Joe Egg, I'm a little concerned if I will find anyone.
(Um... would anyone *here* like to be my set and/or lighting designer? By any bizarre chance?)
So shit. I'm in the show, and I'm going to have to miss the opening weekend. Looks like I'll be seeing alla y'all at the DC Arts Center. Ah well, maybe this'll work out for the best. I'll be able to bring Fakesperians like Val and Liam along. Still, what a pain in the butt.
