Fun at the Fringe...
Sep. 11th, 2004 11:09 pmFinished two of four performances of our deconstructionist take on Hamlet, "Be All My Sins Remembered." Remind me to tell you about this show, it's kind of a "Memento Hamlet." We figured while we were here, we ought to try to go see a show. The show we ended up seeing? "Telepathic Alcoholic Teenage Punk Rock Psycho Sluts." Good times. Packed house, too.
But the show, holy shit, the show was more funny than it had any right to be. Two mutant punk girls toying with the inhabitants of a seedy bar, including an irish mobster out on his first kill, a guy with a salty-sea-dog fetish, and my favorite, Nazi punk rocker Johnny Wilkes (his band is "The Booths) who has one of the most romantic lines I've ever heard in my life, and someday, one my wedding day, I will look into the eyes of my beloved and whisper:
"You are the sweat on my balls."
In other news, I'm not even a trek fan, but I liked the answers here so I'm posting it anyway:
