This truly has the potential, if only from a purely technical standpoint, of being the best... comic book adaptation... ever! Director Robert frickin' Rodreguiez doesn't even call it an adaptation; he uses the actual comics themselves as the script and storyboard, panel for panel, and thus insisted creator Frank Miller get co-director credit.

"It's time to prove to your friends that you're worth a damn. Sometimes that means dying. Sometimes that means killing a whole lot of people"

Mickey Rourke back in the spotlight. Jessica Alba in assless chaps. Rosario Dawson in S&M. Bruce Willis being the only good guy in the whole damn city. Clive Owen with a dubious American accent. T3's Nick Stahl as That Yellow Bastard! And Elijah Wood will scare the shit out of you!!!

My only regret was that they couldn't fit in the Hell and Back storyline which would have starred Johnny Depp. But they have plans for a sequel.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww man. CANNOT wait.

I can't watch the trailer 'til i get home today, arrgh! I've been following this one since the beginning, since before they sent out the massive, yet exclusive invites to half of hollywood. It was so much fun to see the names pile up. When Rod. resigned from the DGA so he and Miller (and evetually Tarantino) could co-direct, I had immense respect for him. When I heard they way he was shooting it, there was even more.

This is an historic event. I am all a-squee!

Have you read the comics? If not, GAH! Get the boy to buy you SIN CITY and SIN CITY: THAT YELLOW BASTARD for Christmas!!! (the third adapted story in the movie, THE BIG FAT KILL, actually might be my least favorite Sin City story, with the other two being my all-time favorites. Go fig.)

Hey man, you're as excited and freaked-out about this shit as I am, you get no right tellin' me to calm down. If I showed this trailer to you, I'd have to be mopping down my dorm room floor after you spilled out four kinds of bodily fluids in your mind-blown fanboyish glee.
