Misc. Thoughts

thehefner1.) Two movies have been on my mind more than any others these past two weeks, SIN CITY and CLOSER. The latter more than the other, simply because it's already been made. Similarly, I've been listening on a continous look The Servant's "Cells" and Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter." If I can't see the movies, then I am going to listen to this damn songs until they become meaningless and beaten into the ground, damn it.
It's really frustrating how no one I know (save Misty) has even seen the movie. Hell, most people I know hadn't even HEARD about it! I want/need to talk about this with someone! I mean, I've got all these brilliant insights and no one to share them with! Like, without me there to tell you, how are you going to know that Larry is the only honest one of the bunch, or that Alice was actually the most manipulative one of them all? Without me, you'll be lost, mark my words. You need me. No wait, I got that one backwards.
2.) This Damien Rice guy is beautiful. Like, acoustic music you can cry and kill yourself to. A guitar, cello, and Irishman will do that.

surrealname, take note. I'm gonna run this'un by you. But I think I've got a real winner here.
4.) An old friend has a friend (I don't know how old) who wants to start a comic company, and he's looking for writers. Well, it's not like I'll be busy for the next few months... no wait, scratch that, I'll be lucky if I have time to shit, much less piss. But regardless, this could be yet another great project. And hey, I already have one published comic under my belt, edited to fuck as it was. What, you can't make a thinly-veiled cunnilingus referrence between a man to an alien in a kids comic?
On the other hand, it did mark the first (and so far only) published appearance of Sam Bluestone. So years back, his first appearance in BUZZBOY: SHORT CUTS will be akin to Howard the Duck first appearing in KISS COMICS. Also, the comic helped get me into several colleges.
Oh, by the way, you can purchase the story in the tradepaperback BUZZBOY, VOL. 2: MONSTERS, DREAMS, AND MILKSHAKES. What's that, you need a link? Oh, here, let me get that for you. $8.96 at Amazon, $11.95 retail. Ahem.
I get no royalties per se, but if you buy it I'll be your best friend forever and ever. Screw Dave, what's he done for me lately? Bought my comic? I think NOT!
5.) Not much I can do in this matter, but tomorrow as I buy a book and CD for myself I'm gonna send 20-30 bucks into Amazon.com's link for the Red Cross. It's not much, and I somehow feel even guilter for donating that relatively paltry amount as opposed to staying out of it and not giving anything at all. Still, for this college student's budget, 20-30 bucks is a sizeable chunk.
On second thought, maybe I won't buy the CD.
