Gacked from treyhawk, with additional selections from tomperdue. Not the complete meme, just the parts that I had answers to/that interested me. And for the sake of everyone's sanity, here's a cut-tag too.

Roles performed: Dale Harding in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," Islander B in "That Japanese Play," Messenger from Corinth in "O/A," Otto in "That French Play" (staged reading), John Halder in "Good," and Kemp in "Vigil." Busy ass fucking year.

Most successful new recipe: Mike's spinach and mushroom quiche. And I HATE spinach, mushrooms, onions, and eggs.
Runner up: (predicted) Frankenberry Rice Krispy Treats

Most enjoyable movie: Kill Bill 2
Best made: The Incredibles
Runner up: Closer
Potentially good movies I did not see: Sideways, Kinsey, Aviator, Lemony Snicket
Films I went to the trouble of seeing more than once in the theater: The Incredibles, Kill Bill 2
Worst movie: King Arthur
Potentially bad movies I did not see: A Shark's Tale, Catwoman, Taxi, Alexander,
Biggest movie disappointment: Catwoman
Best movie hope for 2005: Sin City

What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
-Took an internship at a theatre.
-Auditioned professionally.
-Got cast in a lead role
-Lost weight

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
-Didn't make any, but my resolutions this year are to 1.) speak more slowly, 2.) speak more quietly, and 3.) lose the 15 pounds of holiday chubbiness gained

What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- Birthday Ball. Believe me, I'm gonna have to work damn hard to top that one. But I got me ideas.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- A tie: achieving a years-long ambition to produce and perform "Vigil," and on a personal front, getting over it. Y'know. "It."

What was your biggest failure?
- Going to that Goth club alone, and everything that happened afterward.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
- My misery this summer cummulated in a horrible, crippling, week-long flu that pushed me ten more pounds down the line.

Whose behavior merited celebration?
- Ridge, for taking the helm and directing VIGIL. Mel and Disney for same reasons.

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
- Three people: the girl, the pigfucker, and the white knight. Showing such teamwork without intending to.

Where did most of your money go?
- Gas, I think. The commute is a bitch. Second- comics and DVDs.

Most brilliant thing seen: fiveseconddelay's Box 'O Doom for VIGIL

Most remarkable experience: Loving someone in a way previously totally unknown to me, and doing something to express that in a way that neither of us would ever forget.
Runner up: Performing in "Good."

Births among immediate friends/family: 1
Weddings: 0

Biggest disappointment
- other people

Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder?
-Happier. Definitely.

ii. thinner or fatter?
-Thinner. Much thinner.

iii. richer or poorer?
-slightly richer

Weight at beginning of year: 200 pounds
Weight at end of year: 160 pounds
Goal for next year at this time: 155 (or 160-165 with muscle instead of fat pounds

What do you wish you'd done more of?
- Writing, movie watching with peeps

What do you wish you'd done less of?
- Mourning and asking why. But then, I got it over with more quickly than some people, so many I did just fine for all that.

Did you fall in love in 2004?
- I just might have. I just might have.

How many one-night stands?
- Oh yes, because there's nothing more sexually appealing than JOHN HEFNER!!!

What was your favorite TV program?
- Justice League Unlimited

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
- Hate's a strong word, and I don't feel close to what that word is capable of, but if that's the say I've lost some love and trust from a friend or two, then yes.

What was the best book you read?
- "The Talisman," by Stephen King and Peter Straub

What was your greatest musical discovery?
- "Sunday in the Park with George."

What did you want and get?
- To do VIGIL/get closure (seeing a pattern here?)

What did you want and not get?
- Actual answers with the closure/a good paying job

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
- 21, we went to Atlantic City. Good times.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
- Being treated more fairly/had been a bit more rational

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
- Geek slob to, as my weight decreased, metrosexual

What political issue stirred you the most?
- Although I am largely apathetic politically these days thanks to the rabid passions on both sides, I still get strongly up in arms over first amendment rights.

Who did you miss?
- Her. Long and hard. I don't anymore.

What (who) kept you sane?
- Who: My mother, Dave, Val, Misty, Alan. What: movies, comics, music, acting, writing

Who was the best new person you met?
- Misty.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004?
- People can change, but only if they want to change.

Similarly, as Larry in CLOSER put it:
"Depressives don't want to be happy. They want to be unhappy to confirm they're depressed. If they were happy, they couldn't be depressed anymore, they'd have to go out into the world and live. Which can be depressing."

Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Will you dance with me, in the rain maybe, but we really won't mind. In the end we'll find it was just a dance and our little romance, it'll end in tears but not for years if you dance with me. We'll go down in flames, of course, but love remains, if you dance with me. It'll fall to dust, but only just if you dance with me.

Or if you prefer not to read all of that, here's the cliff notes version: Pain, acting, pain, interning, pain, bitching, wallowing, acting, closure, acting, resolution, ready for more punishment.
