Because now it seems like a good a time as any to bring to your attention that TARTUFFE will be going up April 8th and 9th. It promises to be an awesome show. And as the title character, this shall be my last hurrah on the WAC stage.

Well, actually, that might not be true. The seniors are going to be producing a senior showcase production, where participating seniors can do monologues and scenes and such. I'm trying to woo a partner to do the infamous Larry/Anna scene from CLOSER. She's reading the script now, and hopefully she'll be up for it. There aren't any other acting seniors I know who could really pull this off, I don't think.

But Larry is one of those characters I so identify with but don't entirely know if I can play, so it's a challenge I'm looking forward to. Even more than that, doing this scene would be a cathartic experience for how I'm feeling these days. Once this entry is posted, I'm going to try to distract myself with homework and thesis writing, to do everything I can to not think about what I'm thinking about.

Anyway, in summation. TARTUFFE goes up April 8th and 9th, so mark your calenders, folks. And anyone who's interested in seeing me try to tackle the CLOSER scene along with a lot of other extremely talented seniors in their scenes, I'll update info about the Senior Showcase as it comes.
