Riddler and The Beast
May. 18th, 2005 08:41 pmAs noted elsewhere, RIP Frank Gorshin. Not only was he the perfect live-action Riddler, but I had the distinct pleasure of seeing his one-man show about George Burns, "Say Goodnight, Gracie." I was the youngest person in the audience by thirty years, it was great.
In other news, Kelsey Grammer is gonna be playing Dr. Hank McCoy, everyone's favorite ever-lovin' blue-eyed (or cat-eyed, depending on the mutation) Beast, in X-MEN 3. Chud.com thinks this is odd casting, but personally, I think it's perfect. I think we can all imagine Sideshow Frasier utter the line "fascinating."
In even more completely unrelated news, I just wept-- twice-- to the latest issue of I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. For such a silly, fun series, this story has had more heart than most of the current dark, "Crisis"-esque books that seem to mistake cheap shock value and killing off beloved characters as good storytelling.
