Fun with Headshots!

This was the picture I chose for my headshot. I think it works for all intents and purposes, even if it is one out of about a hundred pictures, most of which weren't exactly the kind of thing I'd want to pass out to auditions.




The Saaaaadest Heffie in the WHOOOOOLE World. This would probably be the picture I'd use on the back of my novel. Or the cover of my soft rock album. Speaking of which-

He also thought I looked kinda like Leo in this one. Yyyyeah, sure. You just keep snappin' those pics...

You photograph well. I can see the celeb resemblences, particularly Matt Damon...I also think that last picture would make a good shot for more comedic roles.

Good choice for the generic or dramatic roles, but if you're auditioning for a comedy or TV I'd use the Heffie Approved shot.

Extra thought. Ya' might want to consider the Heffie Approved shot anyway. You can see your eyes and you're smiling. Makes a huge difference to somebody who looks at the photo and says to themselves, "He looks happy, I can work with this guy."

I'd agree with this, actually. I'd go with Heffie Approved or Lend Me a Feeling, because they show you as approachable, friendly, and with a sense of humor. They're the ones that really draw me in, anyways, and I think they're the best shots of you. Oh, and Mel agrees--we discussed :-P

You are ridiculously photogenic. Seriously. Every shot has it's own brand of Hefner Attractiveness. And the one you picked is amazing - you have very expressive eyes and it shows in the first photo.

second to last one is definately "Doom Heffie". Totally what it'll look like as you look down upon the ants you rule over with disdain.

I personally like 'Heffie approved' as most Heffy. But for head shot I'd pick the optimism I see in 'borrow a feeling'. I also see a Matt Damon / Leo think going, but the main head shot reminds me of Paul Bettany. Nice pics!

Isn't there some sort of contact sheet where you put together several of the shots on one card? I can't remember the name; I don't go on that sort of audition.

Composite cards are mostly used for print modeling as far as I'm aware, and if you were to make one you would want at least one full body shot and a variety of different hairstyles and wardrobes, not just different facial expressions...
