Don't you just hate it when you meet a really hot girl at an Emm Gryner concert and you talk with her and flirt and just when you think it isn't going anywhere she asks to exchange e-mail addresses and then before you can e-mail her she does it first and is really friendly and seems interested in you and talks about us hanging out and watching movies and stuff but says she can't until next week because this weekend she'll be going to Florida to visit her girlfriend of several months?

I mean, really, don't you just hate it when that happens?

No, please, laugh. It's all that makes it worthwhile, especially when they all become Hefner Monologues. Maybe I'll have to subtitle one of the later shows, "The World According to Heffie." Or "The Heffie House Rules."

I'd say it's not as bad as it sounds. If you met her at an Emm Gryner concert I'm betting she's Bisexual Until Graduation. They get their cards punched as members of the Lavender Elite but don't sign up for the Lifetime Membership.

The best part is that their girlfriends are ALSO often BuG.

Translation: there's a girl into you, who also does girls, who are ALSO potentially into you.

You'll have to get Tazira to confirm this, cuz I'm not really qualified. But even setting aside the more adolescent of my fantasies, the fact that she has a girlfriend doesn't mean she's exclusively lesbian.

That's what I'm banking on. Heck, at this age, it seems all girls are bi. At least none of the ones I've dated left me for another woman. They left me for four-eyes scuzzbuckets, but at least not women.

Actually, I usually hear Lesbian Until Graduation, but "bi" seems more accurate for most.

There was a meme a while back about what you'd tell your 16 year old self. I would totally tell myself to get into theater. Save me years of sexual angst. Or at least a whole new kind of sexual angst, which couldn't conceivably have been more frustrating.
