1.) I glanced at a passing reflection of myself. My initial thought: "Hey, it's Donal Logue!"
...
I'd better hit the gym, and fast. And get a frickin' haircut. And a shave.

2.) Justice League rocks. All of a sudden this mediocre show became frickin' awesome in every respect- animation, plotlines, character, and dialogue. From tonight's episode:
SUPERMAN: I didn't figure you the type to read Self-Help books.
VANDAL SAVAGE: What can I say? I have issues. What with destroying the world and all.

3.) The Unbearable Lightness of Being is one of the greatest novels I have ever read. Wow. Just... wow. It suffers from a weak, confusing, symbolic very end, but the rest of the book is pure brilliance. I must post some quotations from it up here at some point. It hit upon many, many personal feelings and has helped me, however briefly, to ease my way through my situation. I have no idea how a movie of it could be made, but with Day-Lewis, Bincohe, and Olin all involved, I'm damn interested now. Hopefully the film makers realized that the novel's about ideas, not just about sex sex and more sex. But judging by the film cover, it's sex. Ah well, sex between Daniel Day-Lewis, Juliette Binoche, and Lena Olin? There're worse ways to spend an evening.
