thehefner: (Bill Perturbed)
All right, I'm in the process of preparing for my audition for the League of Washington Theaters on Wednesday. Tomorrow I get my head shots (MUCH thanks, [livejournal.com profile] spacechild and [livejournal.com profile] cavenessity) and right now I'm working on my resume.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed with writing an acting resume? What format should I use? Should I also list that I will have unspecified roles in both "Cherry Orchard" and "Good," both of which I will be doing in the fall in major roles but have not yet been cast (whoo, run-on sentences!)? For special skills, I'm not sure what I have beyond "Has no shame." What else can I say? "Storytelling"? "Has encyclopedic knowledge of weird movies and comic books"? "Can wiggle tongue really, really fast"?

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a good monologue, I'd love to hear them. I'm planning on doing a Jules Feiffer Bernard scene, which I think will exhibit my strengths and just enough range for the minute-and-a-half I have. But if anyone has another monologue they think would be more ideal for an audition of this nature, please let me know!

Any help with this audition process would be much appreciated, since this will be the first audition I've done that isn't for friends or classmates in over four years. Thankee.
