Well son of a bitch.
Jan. 1st, 2005 04:43 amMy car was broken into. Parked across the street from the cathedral. And for what? Apparently they saw my red "stained" record player (as seen in VIGIL, and I was too lazy to take it out), must have taken it for an antique worth a pretty penny, and stole it.
Well, joke's on them, not only is it about three years old, but the circuitry's broken. It's not repairable. So ha on them.
Still, there's the matter of the glass repair. It's only the small side glass, they were considerate enough to break that one, but lord knows that'd be at least $100-150. That's my guess at least. Hopefully my father will cough up the dough for that.
Aside from that, the only other thing stolen was my rented DVD of GATTACA. Huh. Well, I hope they enjoy it, it was a damn good movie. Still, somehow I don't imagine your average thief appeaciating a quiet, lyrical sci-fi tale.
So Happy New Year, Heffie.
