I need to do a road trip. Soon. Like, after we do "King John" and "Closer," maybe in the winter or the spring, but it needs to happen very soon. Before I get a real job that I won't be able to escape. Maybe I could do I-50 to Vegas and then cut south to take I-80 back, then to I-95 or something back up here. Or something. If I can't get anyone to tag along, then I'll bloody well do it alone. Hell, maybe I should do it alone. I've just started to crack into "Road Trip USA" and "Weird U.S." to prepare possible destinations. But before I can't afford it (and I can only sorta barely as it is) and before I get stuck in a real job, I need to do this. Which means as soon as possible. I need to do this for my writing as well as my own well being. I can't let this just stay a pipe dream. I need to start saving up, which I'm terrible at doing.
Ebay, that's the answer. Or an answer. My mother and my brother have tons of stuff to unload and they've offered me half of whatever we get if I can organize it and sell the stuff. Stuff like Edd's old Airstream trailer. That needs to get sold desperately. If anyone here has any Ebay selling tips, I would greatly appreciate them. Short of actually landing another job for a few months, this is where I'll get a little extra income, hopefully. If I can ever figure out the goddamn digital camera Mom has which she's never used.
Speaking of saving up, we went to the Mother Store location of Costco in Seattle today. And what do they have? "Ghostbusters 1 and 2" DVD pack for $12.99. LOTR Extended DVDs of FOTR and ROTK for $24.99 each. Bobby Darin's greatest hits for $7.99. Shit, with spending cash to have in pocket that's another hundred bucks outta the bank. Guess I'll have to cut back on some comics. (I've heard that one before...)
