So here's the plan for Tomorrow:

10-2ish: go to a local comic convention (the sole celebrity guest is Pop Mahn) to pump up my comic collection with stuff that will likely never come out in trade paperback. Included on the shopping list- entire runs of "Young Justice," "Infinity Inc," missing issues of Giffen/DeMatteis' "Justice League," maybe Peter David's "Supergirl." What other things should I look for? Any other underappreciated, out-of-print gems? I want to get the most outta my $3.00 admission fee!

3ish-6ish: Entertain Mike Ridgaway, play with his brand new Nintendo Wii. Or maybe just make myself an Manhattan and watch him flail convulsively with the remote and squeal like a coked up schoolgirl. Either way works.

7ish: Go to the Patriot Center to see Tenacious D. I only know a handful of their songs, but really, I think this is one of those things you really gotta see live.

Sunday proves to be an eventuful day indeed.

So Sylvester Stallone is answering fans' questions on aintitcool.com. Basically, they can ask him anything. It's pretty cool, he's very down to earth and forthcoming. But one guy, bless his geek heart, asked him the following question:

For the love of all that is good and Holy.

How do you use the 3 seashells?!

Louis Saucedo
Dallas, Texas

I may not know you, Louis Saucedo, but God bless you. That's all I'm saying.

It occured to me that I probably should include Stallone's response here.

Do not click if you do not want the answer to life's greatest question spoiled for you! Sometimes the mystery is better, after all! )

Also, since we're on the subject of Stallone, can I just say how good COP LAND is? It's not brilliant, but it's such a good, solid little film. Stallone delivers a lovely, sad performance, Ray Liotta is in the most Ray Liotta-y role ever, and DeNiro sports pure 70's "Beastie Boys' Sabotage" hair and 'stache. It's totally predictable, yet totally watchable. I should check it out again.
