Mar. 4th, 2007 10:17 pmSomeone's taken the liberty of posting the entirety of what is one of my all-time favorite single comic stories, John Constantine: Hellblazer, in "Hold Me".
It might well be my favorite work by Neil Gaiman (he's particularly fond of it himself) and Dave McKean's art here is stellar. As much as I love comics, I rarely encounter a story that moves me. This is one of the exceptions. I don't recall if I shed a tear when I read this, but I definitely released a touched gasp. A lovely little story.

jellied and I are both puzzled that we were not solicited for this. If nothing else, I bet either of us could have run rings around "Michel, 25" 's contribution. A note to any prospective future girlfriends who are reading this livejournal: I assure you, I will never, ever refer to my penis as Mjolnir.
That said, I think my true love might not be offended if I were to, say, utter the Green Lantern Oath during sex. But that's neither a promise nor a threat, just fair warning.
Just saw ol' cousin Hugh guest-star on FAMILY GUY. Every time he makes an appearance and I hear my family name spoken aloud on TV, I get that little flash of "Maybe I should try to establish contact with him again..." but it's never gonna happen. I doubt there's anything I could say that would make him give a damn.
Honestly, I think my only hope is if the Hefner Monologues become successful. That alone might get his attention, and hopefully not in any bad way. Of course, that's assuming he'll even live to see them. Just more reason why I need to get off my ass and finish the revisions, so I can get it published.
