I want you... rockin' back inside my heart
Jun. 7th, 2007 12:31 am(I don't know if I outright posted about this before. If I have, forgive me.)
Here's something.
It's David Lynch. I think that's all I need to say before letting you decide whether or not you wanna see this. Also, it's rare David Lynch.
(Hint: don't be distracted by the first minute or so; this is *not* WILD AT HEART)
And that's just part one of five.
Side note: I watched that on a date with a girl. To date, this girl is still the biggest crush I've ever had on a person, and our few movie nights together were legendary: TITUS, BLADE RUNNER, PERFECT BLUE, THE ICEMAN COMETH (Jason Robards, baby), and this, INDUSTRIAL SYMPHONY NO. 1. All that, and she was sane too. Sane and secure in her self-worth. No wonder how, years later, she's *still* the greatest unrequited love I've ever had. Last I spoke to her, she was about to fly off to Kilimanjaro, of all places. Why? Who knows? Likely off to further explore the world, thus making her seem even more exotic and unattainable.
I've never been one for unrequited love; if she's not into you, then what's the point? But watching this again reminds me why she's still the exception. If you think I'm weird for getting soft and nostalgic over a movie with a gigantic skinned deer... well, I guess you just don't understand Heffie, s'all I can say.
