So, did NO ONE remember that the Baltimore Comic-Con was this weekend?!?! Thankfully, I was able to get off work for both days, so huzzah! Look at that line-up, kids. This convention is getting bigger and better with each year.
So what's the plan?
Well, first of all, it's to get there as early as possible to try to get original art from certain artists. I'll start by shooting for the moon and seeing if I can get Two-Face drawings from Mike Mingola (I can try), Brian Stelfreeze, and/or especially Chris Sprouce, who drew my very favorite Harvey Dent story ever.
I'm also gonna try to get Bub and Johnny Go drawings from Kyle Baker, Amanda Conner, and/or Sergio Aragones.
Frank Cho has owed me a drawing for over six years. He's known me since his bi-annual signings at our Bethesda comic store, and is always super-friendly as he instantly recognizes me. Because I'm a Hefner, of course, and therefore boob royalty to Frank Cho. I doubt he'll finally pony up a Two-Face or Bub/Johnny, but hopefully I'll at least remind him, so we can keep the tradition alive.
Maybe if I ask him to draw Bub and Johnny fighting raptors alongside Sammi Dee, badass sexy warrior woman of the wasteland? As
holli pointed out, boobs and dinosaurs are his weaknesses.
And what comics do I need to stock up on? Hmm... well, I do need the complete run of INFINITY INC (HINT HINT,
suburbfabulous, as well as completing my runs of YOUNG JUSTICE, Giffen/Dematteis JLI, and AMBUSH BUG issues, plus THE SHADE mini-series.
Right right right, boys. Come Saturday, 9 AM, gimme a wad of cash, a bag for free crap, a portfolio of drawings, and an assload of caffeine. We're going in.
