2) Is it Thinner? I think I know which movie this is, but I might not have the right title.

And the bonus one looks like a house in C-Town or perhaps something from Psycho remake.

1. Excorcist III
2. Ravenous?
3. Yeah, Sunday in the Park with george
5. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
10. Aguire, Wrath of God

bonus - Psycho II... i think.

Nope, not Thinner. I'm curious, why did you think that? Those are somewhat more... period clothes... than modern-day Thinner had. Like, for example, do you recognize either of the actors?

As for the bonus, you're on-so-close.

#6 is that one we watched by the Cohen brothers. OMG IT'S KILLING ME, WHAT IS IT CALLED? *CRIES* Gimme like an hour, I'll think of it. Love...love something...something to do with love. OMG.

Is that Bernadette Peters in 3? Cuz it sure looks like it...

3. Sunday in the Park with George?

Yes, it's the Cohen, but there's no "love" in the title. And indeed, that is Bernadette with Mandy "Indigo Montoya" Patinkin!

yay, I was the first to get Blood Simple.

And I would've gotten the bonus, as I know you've recommended that sequel before..

Is it bad that I don't recognize ANY of those?

Good on'ya! You got my favorite Cohen bros. movie! And yeah, I remember you recommended Psycho II before, which was very cool. I'm just thinking about it again, and remembering how good it was, and I'm still thinking, "Jesus, Psycho II was actually good??"

Date: 2005-08-12 06:15 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thehefner.livejournal.com
It's not bad at all. I really tried to choose movies that I absolutely loved that I didn't think most people would see. So you know what you gotta do now, right? You've gotta see them all! Once I reveal all the answers, of course, because I sincerely doubt anybody's gonna get 7, 8, or 9... unless they watched it with me of course (and you people know who you are!).

I knew I had the wrong movie title. It's David Arquette in the foreground and I know this movie from trailers, I've just never seen it.

Ravenous. One of my personal favorites. Worth seeing for lots of reasons, including Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle as homoerotic cannibal vampire wendigos and David Arquette getting killed. Twice.

no! I just had a Malcolm McDowell fixation in college. I would get really fucked up and watch Clockwork Orange while typing theater history papers.

He is a muse.

Oh, man, we so need to track down "O, Lucky Man!" McDowell at his finest. It's a movie that, like the above one that people still haven't identified, must be seen!

Sounds like a plan. I first watched it with movie gurus Luke Owens WAC'99 (Sophie Kerr) and Stephen Spotswood WAC '99 (3AM (great one man show theater thesis if you get to read it))

We got drunk on cheap scotch and spoke like Malcolm McDowell for three or so days.

DAMN!!! Why can't I remember? (not going to cheat not going to cheat...)

I could and, nay, I shall ask *you* the very same question! I didn't think ANYONE would have gotten that one!!! Tell me, did you cry like a little girl at that ending too?

And hey, aren't you from scans_daily and boostle? What brings you 'round my humble abode?

I sobbed for three hours. Three! Oh, Denis Leary. So much more talented than people give him credit for.

I am indeed! Occasionally I peruse the [community profile] boostle friendspage, 'cause I'm a DORK, and then randomly comment on people's LJs like a crazy stalker person. Er. *shifty*

Date: 2005-08-13 03:02 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thehefner.livejournal.com
Ha! Yes, I sobbed. I love telling people it's a Denis Leary tearjerker. Did you see The Secret Lives of Dentists, which reunited all three, Leary, Davis, and Scott (small world; Campbell Scott's father is in one of the above images!)? I loved that too!

Oh, and by all means, dork away! Always glad to have strange and interesting new people reading my LJ. And don't worry about being a creepy stalker person; that's what LJ is all about!

I did see Dentists, which was also excellent. Can you tell I'm a Leary fangirl? Ever watch Rescue Me?

Date: 2005-08-13 05:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] thehefner.livejournal.com
I don't watch Rescue Me nearly as much as I should. The DVDs shall be rented, rest assured. However, I *did* watch The Job religiously, and still miss it.

Guessy guess!

1. Excorcist III
2. Ravenous?
3. (I have NO idea)
5. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (I LOVE that scene!)
10. Aguire, Wrath of God

bonus - Heerrmmm... My only guess is Psycho II

Do I still get an 'A' if I get the bonus but not #3?

Re: Guessy guess!

Well, it would have been an A if you got ALL of them, but yeah, we'll give you 3 since you got Psycho II. 3, by the way, is Sunday in the Park with George, which I will lend to you and you will watch. Y
