thehefnerAll right, Dave, you win. "Hollaback Girl" really is the most wonderfully bad thing ever. Hypnotically horrible, and horribly rewatchable. Watching the video is like watching a car crash. Into a lava lamp.
However, you guys know what is really awesome? The Dresden Dolls. German cabaret-style punk music. Pre-Nazi Germany style, like right out of "Cabaret", appropriately enough. I must get their album. Videos of their stuff is availible to watch on their website, in quicktime. www.dresdendolls.com. Well worth it. Trust me. Big thanks to Danny for the heads-up.
Mystery Men was on TV. They changed one of the lines. Cassanova Frankenstein is supposed to call the cigar-smoking businessmen-like gangsters, "Big Tabacco," but in the TV version they changed it to "The Suits, who downsize the hard way" or some such shit. What gives?? Is there something so offensive or politically incorrect about sticking it to the tabaccy companies?
The cast of that movie makes me so happy. It may not be as good as The Specials, but it's got plenty to keep me happy. Macy, Stiller, Waits, Izzard, Rush, Garafalo, Azaria, Rubens, Rosselini... what's not to love?

I am so happy I discovered it yesterday. I was wondering where all the joy had gone when she stopped posting in the boostle community.
