I just wrote an excellent, beautiful post about meeting going to the Small Press Expo, meeting Harvey Pekar of American Splendor fame, hanging out with professional friends Batton Lash and John Gallager, being reunited with the awesomely talented and always lovely nightmareworld, and my overwhelming love and admiration for these independent comic creators who produce these books (like the Rudes with theater) out of the pure love of the art form.

Then, thanks to my itchy trigger finger, I accidentally deleted the whole thing. Of course.





The artist is Alan Smithee, creator of a book called Zombies and Broken Hearts. Thought he'd be perfect for it.
