thehefnerI'm not thin-skinned. I'm no-skinned. And as such, I've become smart enough to by and large remove myself from situations and people which can set me off. I have open wounds still yet to heal and these people are salt. But still, all I need is a little off-handed and innocent comment from somebody regarding the salt people, something along the lines of "oh, you heard so-and-so is seeing one another now, right?" and all of a sudden I feel like Rhodes at the end of DAY OF THE DEAD (or the guy with the glasses in SHAUN OF THE DEAD; his last scene was an homage to Rhodes). Oy. Am I being smart to avoid these people/situations or am I just displaying avoidance behavior for something that I should deal with head-on?
On second though, ooo look, a meme! A shiny, safe meme!

So yesterday at the comic shop my boss Peter and I were putting away the new shipment. He handed me a pile that was clearly too big and said:
PETER: Oh, sorry, that's the new GHOST RIDER issues piled with the new SUPERGIRL issues.
ME: Oh, two crappy tastes that taste crappy together.
PETER: Hey, that was pretty funny. You should be a writer.
ME: ... I hate you, Peter.
