fun (maybe soon?) with an iSight
Jul. 29th, 2006 06:27 amSo I just bought an iSight camera.
Rawk.
My purposes for this are twofold. First, once Bloo gets the capabilities and once I get something better than frickin' dial-up... we'll be able to chat online with video! Which will certainly lessen the sting of the whole "girlfriend in Chicago" thing.
But also... I'll be able to record HEFNER MONOLOGUES. Both for my own practice, but also to put online! Hefner Monologues on YouTube, imagine!
Or at least, I will once I fucking figure out why iMovie isn't recognizing the camera! When I go to "make a magic movie" it starts to search for a DV camera, and while it searches the camera turns on, so I can watch myself while I wait. Yes, the camera works just fine. But then, boom, I get a message, "Camera cannot be found!" every damn time.
Soooo I go to "help" and it says, "make sure iChat and iPhoto are closed..." yes, they are, still not working... "... and make sure you have the latest version of iMovie." Well, I searched for updates and it seems that I can't get any more up-to-date unless I bought iLife. And I really no wanna buy iLife. I just splurged for an iSight.
So grr. But still, I have an iSight. So yay.
