Jon Stewart's Post 9/11 speech, still perhaps the most heartfelt of the ones I heard over those weeks.

I couldn't watch Stewart's speech - it seemed so pat. I was far more interested in hearing what people who were there felt, y'know? Far more interested in the survivors and victims than Stewart (who I like) speaking from a position of privilege and wealth about the events of that day.

I watched that for the first time a couple of months ago on youtube. It really got me choked up.. I really respect him, and seeing him like that was really heart wrenching. The event is bad enough, it it's worse to see how it affected the people. Such an awesome clip, full of awesome emotion.

I did see it, and I loved parts of it, but honestly I was more interested in hearing what other people were experiencing, because much as I like Stewart, it just seemed so pat. Which is not something that Jon normally is.
