Every so often, I fall off and get back on the caffeine wagon. I'm incredibly sensitive to changes in my body chemistry, understand. In London, I took to driving tea in the mornings again, because hey, it's London, gotta do it. And not a pansy-ass teacup size, I mean a manly American MUG of tea. With milk and sugar. Manly.
After that, I would head out to town, and just walking as the caffeine would start to hit, I noticed something. This has been happening every day for the past week as caffeine has sunk in. In my internal soundtrack, I begin to hear Oingo Boingo. It usually begins the same way... I'm walking along, when all of a sudden, I hear "Gratitude". And BAM, soon, I'm going down the street, dancing and singing to myself as softly as I can so as not to arouse suspicion, but in my head I'm now giving way to a full-blown music video.
And it's not the only time either. Like, sometimes when I'm alone at the comic shop and feeling particularly bored and energized, I *crank* up the stereo, play a bit of maybe Little Girls," "On The Outside," "Only a Lad," or "Private Life," and soon I'm dancing all around the whole comic shop, singing, swinging my head, making Elfman/Joker faces in the mirror and singing at the top of my lungs, running up and down the store while dragging my hands against the shelves of books, until I'm totally winded, sweating, and ready to do it all over again.
When I'm caffeinated, I become a one-man Oingo Boingo musical.
There has *got* to be something I can do with that.

Date: 2006-09-21 05:09 pm (UTC)When *I'm* caffeinated, I hear, for inexplicable reasons, Ministry's "Jesus Built My Hot Rod." In fact, it's blasting in my synapses at full volume as I type this.

I just really, really want to do a fully produced musical number of "Little Girls" one of these days. Just 'cause.

Date: 2006-09-21 05:28 pm (UTC)Ohhh god.
I'll have to film it from several angles and edit it together for the full effect, unless there's somebody else there to film it. Which would really be against the point, wouldn't it?
Oh god. Now my mind's a-workin' on this.
Wait! Une question!

Date: 2006-09-21 05:51 pm (UTC)My caffeine intake is low but steady. I hear nothing exciting when I've had coffee, unless I'm actually listening to it. Maybe I should get into Oingo Boingo.

And here's an awesome video set to footage from the game SILENT HILL. The song is based on a piece that was originally gonna be used in the first Burton BATMAN:

They might well be my favorite band. Also, if you're up for seeing one of the most bizarre ass movies ever, look for FORBIDDEN ZONE.
I totally thought you'd dig Oingo Boingo.
